Easy to find
We booked the deluxe room and do not believe we got a deluxe room. I think it was just a double room. If it was a deluxe room I would hate to see a standard double. Very small and cramped. The bedside table had been turned in the wrong direction to make it fit into the room meaning it could not be used.
When I use a hotel for work, I want somewhere that is clean and reasonably comfortable. I don't require style or luxury. This hotel is fine on the former, but without the latter, so I have no problem.
Food was basic but extremely good value. Staff were pleasant. Hotel was warm with a friendly atmosphere
Rooms could have been cleaner
the gym was excellent overall offered great value for money
bar area was not condusive to socialising: an area seperate from reception would have been better
The Staff tried all they could to make the stay more comfortable
Poor facilities for the Price, Dissapointed & Stressful
in view of previous comments--- thought hotel was excellent value and clean. staff very good
no complaints what so ever
Convenient, affordable and suited all of our needs. We did read some of the revue's before we booked and it was better than we were led to believe. Very pleasent rooms, clean and comfortable. We are returning to the area on the 17th September and i will be booking two rooms at the Britannia Hotel.
Room not clean Corridors not clean Hotel is shabby
We were booked in very quickly , the staff were helpful and friendly , ideal location
The fact the house keeper came into the room , even though we had the sign on the door and we answered when she knocked
I am sorry but the hotel is tired The pictures and information show it just like the Village but it is not Renovation is required throughout I booked online and was disappointed This could be very very good I do understand that there are a lot of contractors who have to pay for their own digs and only need just a bed to crash onto There are the others that could do with a little refinement Maybe you should think about doing up some of the rooms Also the lift was not working
Convenient for the city. Fantastic taxi service free phone from the hotel. Happy hour in the bar. Low cost use of spa facilities.
Although I paid extra for an executive room, all we got was a small round table and chair. The bedhead was king size but the mattress was a small double so it was 6 inches short on each side. Plus it was like sleeping on an ironing board and the pillows were just as hard. The room was on the small side as well. During the night the wall behind the bed was trembling all night and nosiy, probably the worst nights sleep ever.
We ended not staying there as we had to be given three different rooms as the were dirty, smelly and there was no ways I was going to stay in one, the staff were sarcastic and unpleasant, we got our money back and ran, I think they should have a inspection for hygiene.
plenty of parking
on here it advises no booking fee however when you get to the hotel they charge you £2 for paying by any card. room very basic and old fashioned, no phone , bed very lumpy and uncomfortable, no one available for me to check out and close my extras account so had no idea what charges they would levy for our food and drnks.
Easy to find convenient for airport
Booked a double and a twin but no doubles so ended up with 2 twins, got in room and quilt cover was filthy rang reception and they sent clean quilt cover and just gave it to me to do myself, bed bases very grubby bathrooms grubby . Was not offered any discount or refund for room of problems, shame the little details let it down.
